Planning for art when building or renovating a home can enhance the overall aesthetic and create a storied, personalized space. Here are some tips to consider:

Identify areas in your home where art can be displayed effectively. Consider walls, nooks, hallways and even outdoor spaces. Think about sight lines and focal points: art should be placed where it can be appreciated.

Work closely with your designer and contractor. It’s important that these items are installed in discreet locations.
